Gary trained at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School where he studied Professional Stage Management & Technical Theatre, whilst specialising in Lighting Design. Since his studies, Gary has worked as an electrician in New York and in the West End, on productions such as The Buddy Holly Story (Duchess Theatre), The Lover/Collection, Dickens Un-Plugged (Comedy Theatre), Wicked (Apollo Victoria), Chicago (Cambridge Theatre), Rock of Ages (Shaftesbury Theatre) and as Deputy Chief Electrician at the Donmar Warehouse from 2009 to 2011.
Since moving to London in 2007 Gary has designed extensively on London’s fringe, where his work has been seen in venues such as, The Pleasance, Tristan Bates, Finborough and Jermyn Street Theatres. Recently Gary has been nominated for a 2011 Off West End Award- BEST LIGHTING DESIGNER for Gotcha at Riverside Studios.
